The Principal
The President of Torve Ventures, Bill Smith, is actively involved in local, national and international business transactions including equity and debt financing, complex corporate mergers, take-over bids and asset transactions. He is an advisor to public and private companies, individuals and corporate boards involved in a wide variety of businesses, including technology, manufacturing, finance, resources and services. On public company finance matters, Mr. Smith works with issuers and with corporate finance professionals. He has significant experience with finance of technology companies.
Bill has been involved in the startup or initial phases of more than 40 companies, generally staying with the company as a business advisor through initial capitalization, subsequent financings, acquisitions and eventual sale or merger. These businesses include oil and gas, oilfield services, technology, manufacturing, mining and other industries.
Mr. Smith has experience as a non-executive director and senior officer of more than two dozen public and private companies. He is a member of a number of professional and community associations.

Torve has had extensive experience in structuring debt and equity investment in real estate, bonds, fixed income securities and mature, dividend paying equities. A conservative approach and rigorous due diligence are cornerstones of all Torve investment decisions.
